As of December 3rd, as the world's largest research and production base for tertiary oil recovery, Daqing Oilfield has achieved a tertiary oil recovery output of over 10 million tons in 2025, exceeding 10 million tons for 24 consecutive years, with a cumulative output of 330 million tons. The output has once again reached a new peak.
Tertiary oil recovery involves injecting chemical substances into the oil layer to improve the performance of oil, gas, water, and rocks, thereby extracting more crude oil from the rock pores. Through the efforts of several generations of dedicated research, Daqing Oilfield's tertiary oil recovery technology has evolved from non-existence to existence, from following others to leading the field, and has maintained a world-leading level. It has become the dominant development technology supporting the high-quality development of Daqing Oilfield. In 2025, the development system of Daqing Oilfield focused on handling the "three major issues" of the oilfield's development, with the goal of "increasing the recovery rate by 1 percentage point". Adhering to the concept of "effect and benefit are equally important, technology and management are equally emphasized", it vigorously implemented full life cycle control, achieving a double increase in development effect and output.
In the development of new blocks, the oilfield promoted high-quality injection, adopted a project group integrated management model, focused on key link control, and carried out injection adjustment, water drive sealing, and ground construction work in an orderly manner before injection, and strictly implemented the plan after injection to improve the injection quality, achieving early injection, early effect, and more oil production. For the positive injection blocks, deepened control, conducting effect evaluations monthly, comprehensively searching for shortcomings and guiding rectification; focusing on 25 blocks in the stage of water content reduction and stability, implementing package management, implementing various adjustment and potential tapping measures 26,000 times per year, and the block quality rate increased to 90.6%. In the subsequent water drive blocks, adhering to "three types of recovery" and focusing on "precise potential tapping and maintaining scale", promoting the application of the development potential evaluation system, highlighting the control of injection and production management, implementing 2644 wells for control of decline, and applying 2644 measures such as control, washing, separation, and repair per year. In the chemical drive injection aspect, strengthening integrated control of the blending station, injection station, and injection well upstream and downstream, implementing "three fixed" management of standards, measures, and cycles, implementing 66,000 items of measures such as "flushing, washing, separation, and repair" per year, ensuring that the injection system quality rate reaches over 99%, and achieving effective control of the entire process "quantity, concentration, and viscosity".
