On December 22nd, I learned that the thermal station No.3 high-temperature heat pump system, a supporting small overall project for the western transformation and upgrading of Jilin Petrochemical, was successfully put into operation. It has been delivering qualified heating and heating water to the 600,000-ton/year styrene and other facilities and factory buildings, marking a revolutionary transformation of the company's winter heating and heating source.
The high-temperature heat pump is a device that uses electricity to drive and utilizes the circulating refrigerant to transfer heat from a low-temperature heat source to a high-temperature heat source. It has the advantages of high efficiency, energy saving, environmental protection, low carbon emissions, strong adaptability, and high economic efficiency. It is of great significance for the green, low-carbon, and high-quality development of the factory.
Thermal station No.3, as an important supporting small overall project for the western transformation and upgrading of the company, started construction in May 2024. Its core equipment is a high-energy heat pump. Thermal station No.3's high-energy heat pump uses the ABS circulating water from the company's western transformation and upgrading facilities as the low-temperature heat source to heat the heating and heating water for the 600,000-ton/year styrene and other 6 sets of facilities and supporting factory buildings. After heat exchange through the high-energy heat pump of thermal station No.3, the temperature of the heating and heating water is raised to 55 to 75 degrees Celsius, meeting the heating and heating requirements of the facilities.
Thermal station No.3 has 7 high-energy heat pumps, 8 motor pumps, and 3 variable-frequency make-up water pumps. Each heat pump is designed to have a heating capacity of 10 megawatts, providing heating and heating sources for the company's 600,000-ton/year styrene facility, newly built emulsion method ABS, and 6 sets of supporting facilities and factory buildings. Compared with traditional steam heating and heating methods, it can save nearly 27 million yuan in steam costs during the winter heating season.
